If you are a Mormon, have been confronted by a Mormon, or are reading the Book of Mormon, please take time to watch this video. Members of the Latter Day Saints Establishment claim to be Christians, but according to the Bible this is not true.
Salvation from sin is a free gift of God through Jesus Christ. He died on the cross to pay the full price for your sins, and rose again after 3 days so that we might also have eternal life.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9
“But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” Titus 3:4-7
An open letter to Mormons…
Dear Mormon Friend,
I love and care for you deeply. I think of you daily, and I believe the Lord has put you heavy on my heart to tell you this: the Jesus of the LDS establishment and the Jesus of the Bible are two different Jesus’s. The Bible warns us that this deception is possible in Galatians 1 and 2 Corinthians 11 (below). The Book of Mormon is a lie and thing to be accursed according to Galatians 1:8. It’s teachings will only lead to Hell.
“I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.” Galatians 1:6-8
“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.”
2 Corinthians 11:3-4
This may seem a harsh way to come across, but this letter comes from a burdened heart of love. I see in you a desire to acknowledge God, but without faith in the Jesus Christ of the Bible a relationship with Him is impossible (“no man cometh unto the Father but by Me” John 14:6).
I just want to plead with you to open your Bible and begin reading at the book of Matthew. Please don’t stop reading, or read anything else but your Bible, until you’ve finished at Revelation. The Bible, not the Book of Mormon, is what Jesus Christ uses to open our eyes to who He is.
My greatest fear for you and your family is that you will die with your faith in the Mormon Jesus. If you do, you will appear before a Christ you do not know and hear Him say: “I never knew you, depart from Me”.
Jesus said: “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
Matthew 7:22-23
